Sophie Photo - "Merry Christmas!"

We hope that everyone enjoyed a wonderful holiday with family and friends. Sophie's first Christmas was merry and bright - and even a little bit white!

On Christmas eve Sophie posed for a photo . . .

and Mom cooked a turkey for a special dinner. (Mom also nearly started a house fire after placing the blender on top of a flaming burner. Don't ask - though Amy would like to point out in her defense that we have limited counter space. Anyhoo . . .)

Christmas morning finally arrived, and Sophie found that Santa had left a stocking for her.

Candy!!! (None of which Sophie is allowed to eat, by the way. Not that it mattered; the fun size candy bars were the highlight of her day and she carried at least one in each hand most of the morning.)

Sophie wasn't sure about the whole presents thing, and definitely wasn't sure about having to set aside her candy for a few moments, but she eventually helped open a few packages.

Dad got his Juventus T-shirt.

There was a new sweater for Mom.

And Sophie was very lucky to receive lots of pretty clothes and some new toys.

Sophie was pooped after all the excitement and took a long nap. When she woke up, she looked out the window to see that it was snowing!

The snowflakes were big and sloppy and melted fast, but it still counted as a white Christmas to us.

Wow, how special to have a white Christmas, not something we get to see here. Of course we packed sweaters for Christmas in Covina and it was about 80 degrees!

You're all looking very happy. Great view from your window - the turkey reminds me of the one in "Christmas Story" right before the dogs ran off with it. A little fire could happen to anyone...
