Tbilisi Tales - Embassy Playground
Occassional Tales from our Life in the Republic of Georgia
While Tbilisi has some public parks, there are really no good playgrounds for Sophie to monkey around in. So, a few of the parents at the embassy decided to raise funds to build a playground on the new embassy grounds. While the cost is high -- the group needs to raise about $70,000 -- it will be a great outlet for lots of cooped up kids. Last weekend, we participated in the Playground Committee's picnic fundraiser. Amy made her chocolate chip cookies for the bake sale (they sold out!) and Jason ate more than his fair share of hot dogs. Hey, it's for charity!

Sometimes it's hard to tell whether Amy or Jason wrote the comments for your picture. But the part about Jessica and "her hot dog" gave it away - it had to be Jason.
The playground sounds like an ambitious project but well worth it - good luck.
