Sophie Photo - "What Sophie Said"
Amy picked Sophie up from school today and Teacher Vivi said that Sophie had had a great day. And she recounted how one of the kids in Sophie's class had been crying and Sophie told him,"Don't worry. Mommy's going to pick you up at 11:45." That's funny because those are the words that Sophie repeated to herself over and over and over, even on weekends, during her first weeks at school. But now she has hit her stride and is really enjoying school. She tells us that she loves us, loves Teacher Vivi, loves Teacher Joselyn, and loves "the kids." Here's part of Amy and Sophie's conversation on the way home from school today:
Sophie: Where's Teacher Vivi?
Mom: She's still at the school.
Sophie: Why?
Mom: Because some kids stay later and she teaches them.
Sophie: Why?
Mom: Because that's her job.
Sophie: Why?
Mom: Because she likes children.
Sophie: Wow. Coooool. She likes kids!
Mom: Yes.
Sophie: She doesn't eat them.
Mom: No.

How fun it is that you tell us these adorable little stories. I've been sharing them with my friends at work and they think they're hilarious,too.
Sophie is a very special little girl. Thank you for letting us enjoy these little tidbits, they are very meaningful and lots of fun to hear.
