Another 150 miles
A year after completing the 184.5 miles from DC to Cumberland, MD, this summer Jason and his buddy Carson completed the other "half" of the ride -- 150 miles from Pittsburgh to Cumberland along the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) rail-trail. Along for the ride this time were Jason's dad, Mario, and friend Bob.
Loading up the car for the drive to Pittsburgh
Just getting to Pittsburgh was an adventure with the rental car breaking down on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Mario was pleased with the police response on the Turnpike

The group spent their second and last night on the trail at Horizon View Farms in Rockwood, PA
There were lots of rail tunnels as the trail wound through the mountains

As shown on this elevation chart, it's all downhill from here.

What an ambitious adventure...again.
So good to enjoy these friendships, but these times with your Dad can't be measured. Congratulations!
Love you,
Aunt Marsha
