Christmas 2009 Photos

It's almost midway through January, so we better get these Christmas photos posted without further ado. We had a wonderful Christmas, and we hope that all of you did, too. We actually had a white Christmas here in DC, which is very unusual. (Of course, by the time Christmas rolled around, the snow was a week old and we were ready for it to be gone.) Sophie's biggest wish this year was for a red wagon, and Santa came through. We were all glad to have Grammy here from California to make the holiday even more special.

Grammy and Sophie with homemade peanut butter squares and an orange for Santa. We also tossed plenty of carrots outside for the reindeer.

Sophie got to choose one gift from under the tree to open on Christmas Eve. She chose the biggest box. (This is a big improvement over Amy's childhood, when her parents got to choose the gift and it was always pajamas.)

Inside the box was a butterfly backpack and matching lunchbox. Sophie was very happy when she returned to school and her teacher noticed her new backpack.

Finally, the tie dye shirt Sophie had been asking for! (That's not a joke. She was desperate for a tie dye shirt. We don't know why.)

A new Tag Reading System, very cool

The grosser the photos in this book, the better as far as Sophie is concerned.

Sophie is showing off her Zhu Zhu hamster (or whatever it's called. She loves it.)

Cute pictures, except of grammy in the morning. But it was so much fun being together. Thank you for a perfect Christmas. Love Mom

Goodness could our girls be any more alike. Where did you find the awesome Princess castle. Santa brought one that he found at Disneyland and Mom was disappointed. The box made it look huge and it isn't. The one Sophie has is exactly what Olivia wanted!
