Bye Bye Summer...Hello Kindergarden!

Where, oh where, did the summer go? It seems like just yesterday that we were writing about Sophie's pre-school graduation. In the intervening months we've made some great summer memories. Good thing too, because school starts again tomorrow!

Summer started off with a bang on 4th of July. Here are Amy and Sophie with a firework watching crowd at the National Cathedral.

Then it was off to Pennsylvania for our annual trip to Dutch Wonderland. Here we are with Duke the Dragon and later our friends Jenny, Carson, and Maya.

Our California trip was fun, fast, and furious as usual. Here is Sophie and cousin Grace at SeaWorld then with some characters at Legoland.

For us, this will be remembered as the summer of Egypt and Cleopatra. That's about all that Sophie has talked about. Here she is at the Cleopatra exhibit at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia.

Of course, summer wouldn't be complete without some beach time. This year we discovered Chesapeake Beach, on the bay and just about an hour from our house .
