Sophie Photo - "First Real Haircut"

Sophie got her first real haircut last week. Yes, she's 3 1/2. Up to now, Mom has been cutting Sophie's hair. (Sudden realization: we're hippies!) The time finally came for the real deal, and so we all headed over to our local Peliqueria Delfy for the big event.


Here's the "before" shot. Sophie was all smiles in the special taxi chair as Mom explained that Sophie wasn't looking to lose a lot of length.


Then the haircut began, and Sophie grew very serious. She would barely look at us, wouldn't smile for photos, and tried hard not to blink.


We're pretty sure she was holding her breath.


And then: all done! Whew! Sophie can smile - and breathe - again.


She got a new pink barrette and a red lollipop for being such a cooperative client!
